Common Names Golden Melinonii, Chartreuse Melinonii, Lemon-Lime Philodendron
Zones 10A–12 (outdoors); Zone 9+ with protection; indoor year-round in colder zones
Philodendron melinonii ‘Golden’ is a luminous, self-heading cultivar prized for its oversized, paddle-shaped leaves in vibrant chartreuse to lemon-lime tones. Native to northern South America, this terrestrial species forms a bold rosette of upright foliage with a waxy sheen and subtle red blush on juvenile petioles. Unlike climbing philodendrons, ‘Golden Melinonii’ maintains a compact, non-vining habit, making it ideal for interiorscapes and tropical containers.
